This 1960 Chevy Impala convertible owned
by Ross Nord of Big Lake is truly a work of art and love. He bought the car 4 years ago from a customer
of his. Ross, knowing when a great
opportunity presents itself to him, actually sold his Harley motorcycle for
it. The black/white combo is
pristine. The seats are black/white
checkered and I am telling you did it bring back memories for me! Ross has owned many classics prior to this
one (presently working on a 67 firebird), but he still remembers fondly the
1967 Camaro convertible as his favorite only because it was the very first car
he ever owned. The car was a frame off
restoration and was repainted by Ed’s Collision in Maple Grove, and if I do say
so myself, it looks like shiny hot tar was poured over the car…….perfection. Not one mistake. Rarely, do I see black redone on a vehicle
without some type of error. Not on this
black beauty. When I asked Ross what he paid
for the car? He laughed out loud and
just said, “TOO MUCH”……Ok Ross, I will just leave it at that, but whatever you
paid for it. This car is truly
magnificent. If you get a chance to get
over to the pavilion, take a look. I can
guarantee it will bring back memories for you as well! Congrats Ross for being chosen as Anoka’s
feature car of the week!
